As the second-phase varnish layer dries, it will crack. You can highlight the cracks by rubbing coloring material into the surface. The pattern of the resulting cracks depends on the direction of the brush strokes and the thickness of the first and second components. Once completely dry, your artwork will have a clear matte finish and be water-resistant.
